The 2025 "Sulfuric Acid Industry Annual Conference" hosted by the China Sulfuric Acid Industry Association will be held in Chongqing from May 27th to 28th, 2025. Lv Qingsheng, Chairman of the China Sulfuric Acid Industry Association, Li Chong, Secretary General, and nearly 500 representatives from more than 200 units in the upstream and downstream of the industry chain gathered together to discuss the industry's technological innovation and sustainable development plans in the context of global sulfur resource supply and demand tightening.

At the meeting, Li Qingfeng, a researcher at the Technical Center of Wylton Company, gave a special report entitled "Comprehensive Optimization of Weidun CHP75B Catalyst", detailing the company's achievements in improving the comprehensive performance of CHP75B catalyst through raw material and process equipment improvements. The advanced characterization methods used and combined with theoretical explanations won recognition from the attending representatives.

The meeting was held concurrently with the 10th session of the 8th Executive Council and the 6th session of the 8th Council. Wylton and its subsidiary Guizhou Wylton Catalytic Technology Co., Ltd. were respectively awarded two important industry honors, becoming the focus of the audience:

• Wylton (China) Chemical Co., Ltd. has been awarded the honor plaque for drafting the unit energy consumption limit for industrial sulfuric acid, dilute nitric acid, and glacial acetic acid (GB29141-2024). This marks the authoritative recognition of Weidun's important contributions in promoting energy conservation, consumption reduction, and standard setting in the industry.

• Guizhou Wylton Catalytic Technology Co., Ltd. has been awarded the honorary plaque of "Engineering Research Center for Sulfur Dioxide Oxidation to Sulfuric Acid Catalyst". This award is a full recognition of Weidun's technological research and development capabilities and engineering application capabilities in the field of sulfuric acid catalysts.

After being awarded the honors, the director of the company's technology center said, "These two honors are not only a recognition of Weidun's past efforts in the industry, but also an expectation of our future responsibilities. Weidun will adhere to the mission of the 'drafting unit', continue to lead the industry's green and low-carbon development, and contribute to the national 'dual carbon' goal.
